The International Association of Exhibitions and Events, which earlier this year formed the Public Events Council to focus on consumer events, announced that it will release a report early next year on issues and policies of particular importance to consumer show organizers. The Center for Exhibition Industry Research will collaborate with IAEE to produce the report.

The Incentive Marketing Association has announced the 2007 winners of its annual Circle of Excellence Awards, which recognize outstanding incentive programs. Among the recipients were Sovereign Bank, for its employee-referral program; Allied Waste, for its safety incentive program; Australian telecommmunications firm Singtel Opus, for its sales incentive; BMW Financial Services-Spain, for its dealer/distributor incentive and sales incentive programs, and American Express Incentive Services, for its employee-recognition program.
