Housing technology specialist Passkey has launched EventExpress, a group reservation system designed for hotels of any size, not just convention hotels. The automated online platform promises customized event websites "in less than two minutes," according to Passkey, and offers access to all Passkey features including reports for both hotels and planners, online reservations for attendees and integration with all major property management and CRS systems, and with more than 70 event registration platforms. EventExpress is offered as a built-in part of Passkey, which can be licensed by hotels, planners, meetings management firms and CVBs.

Event technology provider Smart City and the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority have partnered to provide free Wi-Fi access in five areas of the Las Vegas Convention Center. Beginning immediately, event attendees can connect in the following locations: the prefunction area outside meeting room N263 in the North Hall; the prefunction common area near the Las Vegas Hilton walkway; Banners restaurant in the Grand Lobby; the International Food Market restaurant in the South Hall; and the South Bridge, which spans Desert Inn Road.
