Two renewable energy companies, MMA Renewable Ventures LLC and WorldWater & Solar Technologies Corp., are building a solar energy system at Denver International Airport. When competed in 2008, the system is expected to generate 3.5 million kilowatt-hours of clean electricity a year.

Virgin America, the low-cost domestic airline launched last month, expanded its East Coast service last week with two daily nonstop flights from Washington Dulles International Airport to San Francisco International Airport. The airline currently flies to New York City from San Francisco and Los Angeles and plans to serve 10 cities within its first year.
