Cruise West, which offers intimate 8- to 138-passenger sailings
to North and Central America, Asia and the South Pacific, will
offer 14 additional Alaska departures, for a total of 160. In
addition, the cruise line will upgrade its Spirit of
Yorktown and add the Spirit of Glacier Bay to its
Alaska itineraries. The Spirit of Yorktown will get new
cabins with balconies, a new art collection and a renovated lounge.
The Spirit of Glacier Bay, formerly the Spirit of
Nantucket, will make its first Alaska sailing in 2008. Cruise
West's fleet now numbers nine ships.
