Isle of Capri Casinos has opened a new gaming destination in Waterloo, Iowa, the 194-room Isle Casino & Hotel at Waterloo. The property, which has 5,000 square feet of meeting space, will add a nightclub and spa later this year. Currently, the casino offers 1,100 slot machines and 35 table games.

According to an article in the San Francisco Chronicle, members of the Dry Creek Rancheria Band of Pomo Indians, the tribe that operates River Rock Casino in Geyserville, Calif., will build a $300 million hotel and casino resort in the Alexander Valley region of Sonoma County, Calif. The hotel is expected to offer at least 260 hotel rooms in an environmentally sustainable design. Completion is expected by 2009.
