EarthLink is offering its wireless Internet access free of charge through Jan. 21 in a 15-square-mile sample region extending east of Broad Street and north of the Vine Street Expressway in Philadelphia. Earthlink, which currently is building a wireless network to cover the whole city, will provide free Wi-Fi service after the trial period in designated areas, including the Historic District, Love Park, Norris Square and Olney.
