The Association of Corporate Travel Executives soon will announce its first education conference in Russia, according to industry sources. ACTE, which is increasingly active in Asia, Latin America and Eastern Europe, has never entered the Russian market before. No exact dates have been announced.

In news from PCMA's annual meeting, on Feb. 1 the association will launch a new meeting-performance measurement tool, dubbed MeetingMetrics. The service, developed by GuideStar Research, provides "return on meeting" reports for CFO and CEO review using pre- and post-event surveys and will be exclusively available to PCMA members for eight months at a discounted fee.

The International Association of Congress Centres (AIPC), based in Brussels, Belgium, will hold the first AIPC Academy next month, a five-day education program on convention center management. The inaugural program will be held Feb. 11-15 at the Dolce La Hulpe Brussels, a new conference center opening Feb. 1. Sessions will focus on building systems and operations, financial management, event management, sales and marketing, human resources, and community and shareholder relations.
