Ground has been broken on a $13 million expansion to the Georgia Aquarium, which opened in November 2005 in Atlanta. The 30,000-square-foot expansion will add 7,000 square feet to the facilityÕs Ocean Ballroom, bringing it to 23,400 square feet. The work will be completed in late spring.

A new 2,500-seat indoor arena and velodrome project will be built on a 14-acre site in Lower Providence, just outside of Philadelphia. Expected to open in 18 months, the arena will be able to host national and international competitions and provide a year-round facility for the training of American cyclists.
