The Trump Organization will build a new
condo-resort, the 526-room Trump Ocean Resort Baja Mexico, about 30
miles south of San Diego. The property will have a lobby bar and
lounge, an infinity pool, a spa and tennis courts. The amount of
meeting space has yet to be determined. Ground will be broken by
the end of the year, aiming for a late 2008 opening.
The 502-room Mandarin Oriental, Hong
Kong, reopened Sept. 28 following a US$140 renovation. The property
can accommodate meetings with up to 600 attendees and features four
function rooms and a 14-seat boardroom.
