The Greater Columbus (Ohio) Convention Center has plans to renovate its 90,000-square-foot exhibit hall beginning next year. The project will turn the hall into a 60,000-square-foot ballroom and create 20,000 square feet of pre-function space and is expected to be completed sometime in 2009.

The George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston has opened a concierge desk to assist attendees. The permanent service is on the second level near the skybridge that connects to the Hilton Americas-Houston hotel. Experienced personnel will offer restaurant suggestions, help with reservations, and information about what to see and do in Houston.
