Real-estate developer R.C. Hedreen and Global Hyatt Corp. have partnered to operate the 350-room Hyatt at Olive 8 in downtown Seattle. The new hotel will take up the first 18 floors of the Olive 8 building, which will offer 198 condominiums on the upper 19 floors. Ground was broken on Olive 8 last month.

Developer Tony Giarratana is in talks to add a luxury hotel at the base of his Signature Tower, a condominium project planned for downtown Nashville. The building will include street-level retail and 10 floors of hotel rooms. Construction on the tower will begin in January, aiming for a 2009 opening.

Radisson SAS Hotels & Resorts will assume management of the 287-room InterContinental Hotel Dubai at the beginning of October, when the property's name will be changed to the Radisson SAS Hotel Dubai, Deira Creek. The hotel becomes the second Radison SAS in Dubai, following the December 2005 opening of the 246-room Radisson SAS Hotel Dubai, Media City. The pair will be joined by a third sibling, part of the emirate's massive The Palm, Jumeirah, development, in 2008. The company also announced it will open two other hotels in the Middle East, the 323-room Radisson SAS Tala Bay Resort, Aqaba (Jordan), to open in mid-2007, and the 200-room Park Inn, Muscat (Oman), to open in 2008. All the properties will have meeting space.

The Wyndham Harbour Island in Tampa, Fla., became the Westin Harbor Island on May 5. The 299-room hotel has 17,000 square feet of meeting space.

The 199-room Novotel Paris Gare Montparnasse opens today. The property, which features a fitness center and three meeting rooms, is next to the Jardin de l'Atlantique, a public garden built above the tracks of the Montparnasse train station.

Kor Hotel Group, which has spent much of the past 12 months snapping up properties and development deals in Mexico, Miami and the Caribbean, has opened three new regional offices to represent its growing portfolio. The Mexico office is located in Playa Del Carmen, south of Cancun; the second is in MiamiÕs South Beach, and the third is in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

The 328-room Crowne Plaza Dulles-Airport reopened this week. Two miles from Washington Dulles International Airport, the property, which underwent a $7 million renovation, features 7,434 square feet of meeting space. A Houlihan's restaurant is scheduled to open at the end of June.

The Vail Cascade Resort & Spa became a nonsmoking facility, including all guest rooms, as of May 1. The 292-room property offers 50,000 square feet of meeting space.
