A small tornado touched down at the Tulsa International Airport and the Radisson Inn-Tulsa Airport last weekend, forcing the hotel to close temporarily. There were no serious injuries reported, and the airport sustained only minor damage. The tornado reportedly ripped off a section of the hotel's roof, and as many as 200 guests had to relocate to other area hotels. A Radisson spokesperson said the property will likely reopen sometime next week, following a safety inspection.

Schloss Velden, a historic property in southern Austria that has been a private residence since 1989, will be reopened next summer by Capella Hotels & Resorts and Hypo Alpe-Adria Bank. The property will have 109 suites and junior suites, a spa and facilities for meetings of up to 40. A beach club and marina will be built adjacent to the property on Lake Worther.
