Hawaii's Governor Linda Lingle announced last week that her administration, working with airport stakeholders and visitor industry partners, has developed a 12-year, $2.3 billion plan for improving Hawaii's airports. The plan calls for upgrades to the passenger terminals, ticket counters, baggage screening operations, runways, parking structures and airport infrastructure.  

Mesa Air Group's new Hawaiian interisland carrier began selling one-way fares on its website for $39 last Thursday. ''Go!'' airlines will start flying between Honolulu and Lihue, Kahului, Hilo and Kailua-Kona on June 9.
