The Dayton (Ohio) Convention Center will be given a $2.3 million facelift, the city commission decided last week. The building will receive a new facade, including an LED marquee, and the lobby will be redesigned to match the exterior's new look. Lois Greene, acting director of the convention center, expects the project to be finished by July 2006.

The Carlisle Expo Center opens tomorrow, adjacent to the Carlisle Events Fairgrounds and near I-81 and the Pennsylvania Turnpike in south-central Pennsylvania. The center has 22,378 square feet of exhibit space, a seminar room that seats 96 and a food-service area that seats 66.
