Last week, the Aruba Hotel and Tourism Association launched its
group marketing division, Meet Aruba, representing a sales effort
from the private sector that will complement the current outreach
by the Aruba Tourism Bureau and Aruba Convention Bureau. Scott
Wiggins, senior director of sales and marketing for AHATA, will add
executive director of Meet Aruba to his responsibilities. Jorge
Pesquera, president and CEO of AHATA, is expected to spend more
than $1 million on the venture in 2006.
