Visit London currently is looking at the effects the July 7 bombings and the attempted attacks on July 21 have had on meeting and incentive business from the United States and Canada. A spokesperson for Visit London said there have been "no specific cancellations due to terrorism that we are aware of, but it is too soon to qualify this yet, as many of the U.S. events have at least a nine-month lead time." She said some firms that made recent inquiries -- but who had not yet booked business -- have decided to postpone coming to London until early 2006 "to allow things to settle down." A Visit London Overseas Visitor Survey, which queried 195 overseas visitors to London from July 9-22, revealed 98 percent of all respondents would recommend London to their friends and relations.
