Chicago's historic Claridge Hotel reopened last Friday as the newly renovated Hotel Indigo Chicago Gold Coast, a 165-room hotel with a 24-hour business center and a meeting room that can seat 55 people. The hotel is managed by InterContinental Hotels Group.

The new 20-room Red Mountain Wing opens today at the 179-room St. Regis Resort Aspen in Colorado. Sixteen of the rooms are standard guest units and four are suites; all have fireplaces. A new spa opened at the property in December.

Ground was broken last week on the 217-room Ritz-Carlton Dallas. When it opens in 2007, the property will offer 14,000 square feet of meeting space and a 10,000-square-foot spa and fitness center.

The 495-room Crowne Plaza Ravinia in Atlanta has completed an $8 million guest room renovation. After a second phase of refurbishments of its restaurants, public space and outdoor function space is completed this summer, another round of improvements to the hotel's 32,000 square feet of meeting space will begin next year.
