The first flight arrived last night at Airside C, the new terminal at Tampa International Airport. According to the St. Petersburg Times, Southwest Airlines will occupy 12 of the 16 new gates, alongside Independence, Spirit and Midwest airlines. The new building offers free wireless Internet access, a children's play area and four restaurants. Plans now call for Airside D to be abandoned until the airport needs more gates.

Mexicana Airlines is launching a new low-cost airline called Click Mexicana, operating 10 Fokker airplanes and offering roundtrip flights from Mexico City to Saltillo, Nuevo Laredo, San Luis Potosi, Oaxaca, Zihuatanejo, Huatulco, Tuxtla Gutierrez, Villahermosa and Merida. Tickets will go on sale starting in May, with flights set to begin this July.
