Producers of Content World, the four-year-old IT trade show based in Los Angeles, last week announced the cancellation of this year's event, scheduled to run Nov. 30  - Dec. 2, citing "decreased exhibitor and sponsor interest." A letter posted on Content World's website from John P. Noon of Content World LLC, the event's Saratoga, Calif.-based producer, said, "We are investigating the feasibility of repositioning the Content World brand in different market segment such as education." Last year's event at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Los Angeles drew about 800 attendees, down from 1,200 at the show's height in 2001. Last year, participants in Content World 2003 included Adobe, Cisco Systems, Hewlett Packard, IBM, Quark and Xerox.
