The London Marriott West India Quay Hotel & Executive Apartments, with 301 guest rooms and 47 apartments, has opened at West India Quay opposite Canary Wharf. The property has 14 meeting rooms.

The Presidio Hotel Group has purchased the 462-room Adam's Mark Hotel in Tulsa, Okla. The property, featuring 38,000 square feet of meeting space, will be reflagged the Crowne Plaza Tulsa.

Being proposed for the city of San Marcos, Texas, is a $30 million John Q. Hammons hotel and a $15 million conference center. The city, which is halfway between San Antonio and Austin, currently is negotiating with the hotel company on funding and other plans for a 275-room property. No timeline has been set for the project. "Basically, John Q. Hammons has made an offer to the city to partner with him in a public-private project," said city manager Dan O'Leary. "Within a couple of months that deal should be made one way or another."

Starwood has added the Yucatan's Puerta Campeche Hotel to its Luxury Collection. The seventh Mexican property in Starwood's Luxury portfolio, the hacienda-style incentive spot offers 30 rooms, including 10 suites. Also on site are La Guardia, a classic Spanish colonial-style restaurant, and La Cava, a plushly furnished lounge and bar.

Wyndham International is selling the Wyndham Bonaventure Resort & Spa to the Ireland Companies. The 496-room hotel in Westin, Fla., will be turned into 252 two-bedroom suites that will be leased back to the hotel company. The property will be renamed the Wyndham Resort & Golden Door Spa following the construction of a new spa. The $75 million renovation begins this September and will take 15 months.

The 620-room Radisson Waikiki Prince Kuhio this week announced a $15 million renovation, which includes major improvements to the property's meeting and banquet facilities. The project, to be completed by the end of the year, will include a new entrance and an upgraded lobby. The third-floor ballroom and fourth-floor meeting rooms also will be improved, along with the hotel's prefunction areas. Meeting space renovations will begin in August and finish in September.

The 249-room Wyndham Bermuda Resort & Spa, Southampton Beach, opens today, after a $38 million renovation to the former Sonesta Beach Resort Bermuda, which was badly damaged in Hurricane Fabian. The property has about 10,000 square feet of meeting space. Next year 62 rooms, a spa and 2,000 square feet of meeting space will be added.
