JetBlue Airways ranked highest in a study of airline quality released this week. The low-fare carrier beat 13 other U.S. airlines based on criteria such as baggage handling, customer complaints, denied boardings and on-time arrivals. The Airline Quality Rating study ranked Alaska Airlines second, followed by Southwest Airlines, America West Airlines and US Airways. "This year's AQR adds further evidence to the emerging performance gap between the legacy carriers and the no-frills network carriers," said AQR co-author Brent Bowen.
