JetBlue Airways ranked highest in a study of airline quality
released this week. The low-fare carrier beat 13 other U.S.
airlines based on criteria such as baggage handling, customer
complaints, denied boardings and on-time arrivals. The Airline
Quality Rating study ranked Alaska Airlines second, followed by
Southwest Airlines, America West Airlines and US Airways. "This
year's AQR adds further evidence to the emerging performance gap
between the legacy carriers and the no-frills network carriers,"
said AQR co-author Brent Bowen.
