A new survey of business travel trends for 2004 reveals individual travelers are just as eager as corporations to save money. The Orbitz Business Travel Survey, an 11-question study, was conducted online the first week of March 2004 by Harris Interactive. Of the 2,272 U.S. business travelers who responded, 83 percent said they felt obliged to save their company money when traveling this year; 42 percent felt their corporate travel agent did not always give them the lowest rate; and 36 percent said they went online themselves to find a better rate than that given by their corporate agent.
