Intercontinental Hotels Group yesterday announced the opening of the 193-room Crowne Plaza-Torreon in Mexico. The $20 million property offers 3,400 square feet of meeting space, along with a fitness center, wireless Internet and three on-site dining facilities.

The 780-room Holiday Inn Parque Anhembi opened on Saturday in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The largest hotel in the country, the property is adjacent to the 581,000-square-foot Anhembi Exhibition Center. The hotel offers two restaurants, a gym, a swimming pool and a business center.

The 348-room Marriott Harrisburg (Pa.), owned by Wyndham International Inc., was converted to the Wyndham Harrisburg-Hershey on Saturday and has just completed a $3 million renovation to bring the hotel up to brand standards. The property, which offers 15,000 square feet of meeting space, is planning a room renovation at the end of this year.

The 418-room Half Moon Golf, Tennis & Beach Club, in Montego Bay, Jamaica, announced this week it will spend more than $1 million to renovate its golf course over the next two years, starting in June.
