Turkey will reduce the price of tourist visas for U.S. citizens to $20 as of April 1; since late 2002, the cost was $100. Officials also announced Turkey will reduce port fees for cruise ships by as much as 50 percent. According to the country's Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the fee reductions reflect Turkey's commitment to encouraging more visits by American tourists.

Aruba has signed a preliminary Tax Information Exchange Agreement with the United States. The agreement, expected to be ratified by year's end, will give tax deductions to meetings and incentives on the island. With the move, Aruba joins islands such as the Bahamas, Bermuda, the Dominican Republic and Jamaica in offering the deductions to meetings.
