JetBlue hopes to launch daily nonstop flights in June from New York to the Dominican Republic, pending government approval from both the United States and the Dominican Republic. Originating from John F. Kennedy International Airport, the new service would include two daily flights to Santiago as well as one daily flight to Santo Domingo. The carrier has been expanding its Caribbean routes since 2002, when it added service to San Juan, Puerto Rico.
