Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide and LaSalle Hotel Properties are rebranding the 565-room Radisson Hotel South and Plaza Tower in Bloomington, Minn., as the Sheraton Bloomington. The changeover goes into effect in March, and the property will undergo a $10.5 million renovation that will include installing new beds in all the rooms. The hotel offers 70,000 square feet of meeting space, including the recently renovated 15,500-square-foot Grand Ballroom.

Denver's 430-room Westin Tabor Center Hotel has completed renovations on 200 rooms, part of an $8 million project that brings the Westin Heavenly Bed to all the guest rooms. The rest of the rooms will be finished up by April. The hotel expanded its meeting space two years ago; it now totals 24,000 square feet.

Hilton International will manage a new property adjacent to Barcelona, Spain's new convention center, The Forum, which opens in September. The 23-story hotel, which will open in 2005, will have 434 guest rooms. Amenities will include 15,000 square feet of meeting space, two restaurants, a gym and a pool. Hilton's other property in the Catalan capital is the 287-room Hilton Barcelona.

The Hilton Odawara Resort & Spa opened last week in Greater Tokyo. The 172-room property features 14 meeting and banquet rooms as well as a three-story spa with treatment rooms and a hot spring. The hotel is about 60 miles west of Japan's capital, overlooking the SagamiBay.

Rocco Forte Hotels will open a 146-room hotel in BerlinÊin the former headquarters of the Dresdner Bank in Bebelplatz, close to the Brandenburg Gate. The property, the Hotel de Rome, will have six meeting rooms and will open in spring 2006.

Last Thursday, the Sagamore, a 350-room resort on Lake George in Bolton Landing, New York, announced a new sailing team-building program to begin in the spring on a new fleet of Colgate 26 boats. The resort also plans to finish a renovation of all its rooms by year's end.

On Friday, Interstate Hotels & Resorts announced that the 100-room Pillars Hotel in Buffalo, N.Y., has been reflagged as the Doubletree Club Hotel-Buffalo Downtown, following a $500,000 renovation.

Kimpton Hotels will open a 112-room Onyx Hotel and Ruby Room in Boston this spring. Each guest room will be outfitted with complimentary Wi-Fi internet access.
