The number of meetings in Hawaii last year exceeded expectations, the Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau said last week. With 383 bookings in 2003, the HVCB said it exceeded its targets by more than 30 percent. Although booking windows continue to be short, says one HVCB official, corporate meetings and incentives are expected to grow as the bureau concentrates on key cities like Boston, Chicago, San Francisco and Washington, D.C.
