CRUISE LINES 2-11-2004
Carnival Cruise Lines has taken delivery of its new 2,124-passenger
Carnival Miracle. Following a 14-day transatlantic crossing from
Helsinki, Finland, to Jacksonville, Fla., Carnival Miracle will be
officially christened on Feb. 27 by former Army private Jessica
Lynch, then depart on an inaugural three-day voyage to the Bahamas.
Carnival Miracle will operate three-, five- and six-day departures
from Jacksonville through April 17, followed by a series of
seven-day cruises from Baltimore and New York through the fall.
Beginning in November, the ship will call Tampa home, from where it
will conduct seven-day Caribbean cruises year round.
