On Monday, the Pennsylvania Senate unanimously passed a bill to add two gubernatorially selected members to the governing board of Philadelphia's Pennsylvania Convention Center, expanding the board to 15. Assuming the bill is passed in the House and signed by the governor, the board will expand tomorrow. As for what this change will do for the end user, "It means that there will be greater support at the state level for the potential expansion of the convention center," said Diane Warriner, executive director of the House Urban Affairs Committee, which helped sponsor the bill.
