Delta Air Lines chief Leo F. Mullin last week announced plans to
retire in the new year. Mullin will step down as CEO on Jan. 1 but
will remain chairman until April 23. Gerald Grinstein, a 16-year
Delta board member, will succeed Mullin as the carrier's CEO. John
F. Smith, Jr., a former CEO of General Motors, will become Delta's
chairman in April.
