ACTE to Hold Spring Conference in NYC, Partner with BTM

 The Association of Corporate Travel Executives announced Monday night that its spring Global Educational Conference will be held April 10-12, 2011, in New York City at the Marriott Marquis Times Square. According to a statement issued by executive director Ron DiLeo, the city was chosen, in part, to cut travel time and time away from the office for many of the anticipated attendees. The association also announced a joint venture with the UK-based Business Travel Market, whereby ACTE will provide the educational content for BTM’s conference and BTM will manage ACTE’s TransACTE program, a hosted-buyer trade show without theme-related booths. The TransACTE format is expected to debut at an event sometime next year; the next Business Travel Market conference occurs June 15 and 16, 2011, in London.
