A new Hyatt Place is set to open this fall with 172 guest rooms, a rooftop restaurant, and street-level retail.
The Charlotte Marriott City Center recently completed a $10 million renovation that included an overhaul of its wired and wireless Internet. The hotel's 434 guest rooms now feature 37-inch LCD TVs and new beds.
The 80-year-old, 60-room Dunhill Hotel finished a $1 million room renovation in early 2011 and more recently revamped its Harvest Moon Grille, with a menu highlighting fresh local ingredients. The property has more than 2,500 square feet of meeting space.
Major properties include the 700-room Westin Charlotte, 434-room Charlotte Marriott City Center, 407-room Hilton Charlotte Center City, 374-room Omni Charlotte Hotel, 274-room Embassy Suites Charlotte, 175-room Aloft Charlotte Uptown and 146-room WHAT TK.

The Mint Museum Uptown is a 145,000-square-foot repository of American art, ranging from the earliest Native Americans to the modernists, including paintings, sculpture, crafts, fashion and more.
