Gaylord National to Build New Event Space

The Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in National Harbor, Md., announced plans for a new outdoor waterfront venue called Riverview Terrace. Scheduled to open in April 2012, the event space on the Potomac River will offer 15,000 square feet of meeting space, accommodating up to 700 guests for a seated dinner or 1,200 for a reception. The Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center opened in 2008 with 2,000 guest rooms and 470,000 square feet of function space.
