The U.S. General Services Administration, which announced last week it would freeze government per-diem rates for fiscal year 2013, will add 10 new non-standard areas for the coming fiscal year. These areas will have their own per-diem rates, to be released by the GSA by Sept. 1. According to the American Hotel & Lodging Association, the new non-standard areas are: Bakersfield/Ridgecrest, Calif.; Stockton, Calif.; Hancock and Pearl River Counties, Miss.; Sidney/Glendive, Mont.; Dickinson/Beulah, N.D.; Minot, N.D.; Williston, N.D.; Carlsbad, N.M.; Watertown, N.Y.; and Pasco, Wash. Complete fiscal year 2013 rates will be posted by the GSA by the end of this month at gsa.gov/perdiem.
