Hyatt McCormick Place is beginning phase two of its $110 million expansion and renovation. All 800 guest rooms will be redone by spring 2013, as will the property's Shor restaurant and M/X lounge. Phase three of the project will include renovations to the hotel's lobby and 25,000-square-foot conference center, and the addition of three new boardrooms. The first phase of the expansion, under way since last December, includes the construction of a new 460-room tower that is expected to be completed in mid-2013.
