UPDATED MARCH 22, 2012
The 493-room Loews Lake Las Vegas will become the Westin Lake Las Vegas Resort & Spa as of March 29. A foreclosure proceeding was initiated against the financially troubled property at the end of last year, but no further information about a change in ownership has been made available. Changes at the property include the addition of Westin’s signature Heavenly Bed and Heavenly Shower to all guest rooms. A WestinWorkout fitness center will debut in May. All facilities will be available for guests throughout the transition; the beds are currently being replaced and the shower upgrades will be completed in the next three months. An alternate fitness center will be open while renovations are taking place to the primary facility.
