MPI Introduces Event Measurement Toolbox
by Sarah J.F. BraleyNovember 29, 2011
Today at EIBTM in Barcelona, Spain, Meeting Professionals International has introduced the Business Value of Meetings toolbox, a collection of resources created from research findings released earlier this year. In the initial study, meeting professionals identified five barriers that interrupt their ability to successfully prove the business value of their events: low perception of ROI, difficulty in getting stakeholder buy-in, defining meeting objectives and expectations, devising meaningful ways to measure value, and analyzing and reporting BVOM data. Just released are five white papers that offer solutions and examples, addressing these barriers; find them at MPIweb.org/BVOM. Other tools currently are being developed, including instructional videos and podcasts; articles detailing solutions and examples of success; case studies and corresponding webcasts to delve into best practice ideas; and how-to guides, tutorials and workbooks that professionals can use on a specific job. MPI members will have unlimited access to the new tools, and nonmembers will be able to purchase them. The white papers are free to members; $50 each for nonmembers.
