New Orleans Sees Most Visitors in Nearly 10 Years

 New Orleans saw 9.01 million visitors last year, an increase of 255,027 from 2011 and the most since 2004, when the Big Easy saw 10.1 million travelers. Visitors to the Crescent City spent $6 billion, a 9 percent increase over 2011 and the most in the city’s history. During 2004’s record-breaking year for visitors, tourism revenue reached only $4.9 billion.
