Orange County (Fla.) Convention Center Requires $11.3 Million Subsidy

by Michael C. LoweDecember 21, 2011

The Orange County Convention Center in Orlando will require an $11.3 million subsidy for fiscal year 2011, which is an improvement compared with the $14.1 million needed in 2010, but more than the $10 million the county typically sets aside for this use. Revenue was up 13.7 percent compared with a year ago, to $48.1 million, but expenses also rose 5.3 percent, to $59.4 million.
