QT Sydney Hotel Opens in Australia

The 200-room QT Sydney Hotel opened Monday in Australia, retaining art deco and baroque details from two historic Sydney buildings -- the old Gowings department store and the State Theater. Modern and restored elements are visible throughout the property, whose 200 rooms come in 12 styles. Food and drink are available in the Gowings Bar & Grill, modeled after a European bistro; the Parlour Lane Roasters, a cafe; and the Gilt Lounge. SpaQ offers six treatment rooms. Meeting space is available for small events.
