US Airways Reports Record Load Factor for October

US Airways reported a record passenger load factor for the month of October, with passenger occupancy levels averaging 86.2 percent — a 2.5 percent increase over October 2011. The results give the carrier an 84.1 percent load factor year-to-date. Nearly 4,200 flight cancellations occurred Oct. 29 and 30, when Superstorm Sandy halted operations at many East Coast airports; US Airways expects to provide the financial impact of the storm in November's traffic report.
