Grand Bahama Island’s Our Lucaya Resort, made up of the 740-room Westin and 478-room Sheraton, has 90,000 square feet of meeting space. Last March, the Sheraton completed a $2 million soft-goods renovation.

The Greg Norman-designed Blue Shark Golf Club, centerpiece of a planned development of luxury hotels, a casino, a tennis center and more, opens this summer.

 
Meeting Hotels: Properties on Nassau include the 850-room Wyndham Nassau Resort & Crystal Palace Casino, 694-room Sheraton Cable Beach Resort and 405-room Sandals Royal Bahamian Resort & Spa.

On the nearby Paradise Island, resorts include the sprawling Atlantis, with more than 3,600 rooms.

Lynden Pindling International Airport, five miles from Cable Beach, 10 miles from downtown Nassau and 15 miles from Paradise Island. Transfer cost by taxi to Cable Beach, US$17; to Nassau, US$25; to Paradise Island, US$30.
