After completing a full day's agenda, there's nothing quite like kicking back and enjoying some downtime in the loudly throbbing, frantically friendly milieu of a nightclub at full throttle. The following are state-of-the-art, over-the-top venues promising an unforgettable few hours of fun.

In the River North neighborhood of the Chi-Town, you turn a corner, walk through a private back alley, go up the stairs -- and enter what looks like the lounge of a 23rd-century space station. Speaking of space, Cuvee has enough for private parties of up to 400 -- 402 if you feel sorry for the Kardashian sisters lingering inquisitively by the door. It wouldn't hurt to wear your name tag here, so you can be identified in case you lose yourself on the pulsating dance floor.

As if the Big Apple needed any more of an adrenaline boost, the Quo nightclub/lounge in Manhattan's chic far-west Chelsea district keeps patrons gyrating to nightly live performances by house singer Raven O and the Quo dancers until the wee hours. The place, with a décor that might best be described as post-modern psychedelic, accommodates groups of anywhere from 20 to 800, as well as events ranging from corporate meetings to charity functions to product launches.

Two clubs under one roof in the heart of Scottsdale, Axis/Radius is a neon confection of light, color, sound and, perhaps, smell, thanks to a first-class cigar bar. Corporate meetings are welcome, but be sure to add some dancing frenzy to the agenda thanks to some over-caffeinated deejays. The clubs together can accommodate up to 1,200 people for private use, or just one venue can be reserved for 300 to 500; a complete menu is provided by chef Dario Mata.

In Cleveland's trendy Warehouse District, the staff at this chic yet warmly inviting club refer to it as a "little slice of Europe in Cleveland," thanks to a continental indoor/outdoor vibe courtesy of open-air patios on each of two levels. The "warmly inviting" comes from the house policy of reasonably priced drinks and no cover charge. The dance floor is suitably ample, and a host of VIP areas can handle groups of from 20 to 300.
