Food and fun. Enjoy a show with dinner at the Brickhouse,
where you can dine à la carte or order the prix fixe menu and choose
delights such as basil gnocchi in creamy basil sauce or minute steak and
cheese bread. Overlooking the stage is the Bed Bar, with soft spots for
lounging (call ahead to book a bed). Headlining in November is the Big
Bang Variety Comedy Show.

Arrive a day early. East London's Old Truman Brewery is the site of the Sunday UpMarket,
perfect for strolling off jet lag before the World Travel Market
begins. More than 140 stalls feature everything from clothing and crafts
to unique jewelry and other accessories. Foodies love the delicacies
produced by local cottage establishments serving sushi, sweets and more.

Waterside eats. Local and organic are the menu catchwords at the Pavilion,
a casual breakfast and lunch spot in Victoria Park (aka "Vicky" Park).
The restaurant, which features eggs and sandwiches, is set in a domed
lake house on the banks of one of the greensward's renovated waterways.

New in Town. Set on top of historic St. Pancras Station is the 245-room St. Pancras Renaissance London Hotel. The rooms have all the modern amenities, while the façade and public spaces are palace-like.
City slickers: Horses and cows are the not-so-urban inhabitants at Mudchute Park & Farm in the center of East London. If you're around at 4 p.m., you can help round up the animals for the night.
