Suite view: Villa La Estancia
On the southern tip of Mexico’s Baja California
Peninsula, where the desert meets the Pacific Ocean and Sea of
Cortez, is Los Cabos. The area works its natural charms to lure
deep-sea fishing aficionados and avid golfers, eco-tourists and
rock n’ rollers. The once-sleepy fishing village now offers a wide
range of modern resorts.
Catering to “the discriminating traveler” is the new Villa La
Estancia, a luxury property on El Médano beach in Cabo San Lucas.
The 158-suite resort and spa offers an intimate meeting setting for
15 to 200, with nearly 4,500 square feet of event space. Suites
feature full kitchens, whirlpools and balconies.
On the western tip of the peninsula, in Pacifica, is the
326-suite Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach. By November, the resort will
open 7,000 square feet of meeting space and a 16,000-square-foot
spa.
