Art house: The Renaissance
Arts Hotel
Among properties
leading the rebirth of the city’s hospitality industry is the
Renaissance Arts Hotel on Tchoupitoulas Street in the city’s
Warehouse Arts District.
Near the New Orleans Convention Center
and the French Quarter, the 201-room, 3-year-old hotel owes its
arty atmosphere to a gallery, sculpture gardens and a collection of
works by Dale Chihuly, Lyn Emery and others. On site, the
property’s La Cote Brasserie features great New Orleans cuisine
prepared by chef Chuck Subra.
The Renaissance Arts Hotel has nine meeting rooms comprising
more than 5,000 square feet (the largest, Patrons, has a capacity
for 441 people).
