Incentive Newsline: ADME Honors Its Own

The Association of Destination Management Executives, based in Dayton, Ohio, has named the winners of its first annual achievement awards.
    In the category of “best innovative event, $25,000 and under,” the winner was The Arrangers DMC, based in Denver. For “best innovative event, $25,001-$75,000,” St.Louis-based MAC Meetings & Events took top honors, as did Destination St. Louis for “best innovative event, $75,001 and above.”
    PRA Destination Management, San Francisco, was rewarded for “best transportation logistics.”
    For the category of “best team-building activity,” Atlanta Arrangements Inc. took top honors.
    The Key Event & Helen Moskovitz Group in Nashville won for “best tour program,” while MAC Meetings & Events took the prize for “best recreational activity.”
    Three individuals also were honored for their efforts: Pat Schaumann, CMP, CSEP, DMCP, president of MAC Meetings & Events, was named destination management professional of the year. Lorri Blake of Atlanta-based Destination South and Julie Woodruff, CMP, DMCP, of Destination Nashville, were recipients of the destination management rising star award for young professionals.
