The Minneapolis-based Carlson Marketing Group has
dropped the “Group” from its name and is now officially known as
Jim Schroer, president and CEO, who joined the performance
improvement firm last May, also has streamlined the company’s
divisions, regional teams and 22 overseas offices into three areas:
Carlson 1to1 (for creating comprehensive business strategies for
clients), sales and marketing services (for loyalty marketing,
recognition and rewards), and meetings and events (for incentive
travel, meetings and event marketing).
In other news, CB Wismar, formerly the executive vice president
of strategic communication and chief creative officer for
Alexandria, Va.-based event firm PGI (which was acquired last
summer by Los Angeles-based TBA Global Events), has joined Carlson
as vice president of event marketing.
