Executives announced the winners of its 2006 Crystal Awards at
SITE’s International Conference in Barcelona, Spain. Honored were
Jennifer Childress, USMotivation, Atlanta; Margaret Corley, TBA
Global Events, Los Angeles; Padraic Gilligan, Ovation Group,
Dublin, Ireland; Dries Jacobus, Borealis Incentives Belgium,
Bruges, Belgium; Richard K. Lowy, Branded Experiences Inc.,
Vancouver, British Columbia; Michael Walter, Dragonfly Africa,
Johannesburg, South Africa; and Rich Wise, Wise Incentives, San
Diego.
The 381-room Le Meridien Lav opened
this past December a few miles south of Split, Croatia, on the
Adriatic Sea, and features a champagne lounge, a tennis academy, an
extensive spa, a casino and more than 22,000 square feet of meeting
space.
The 500-room Regent Beijing opened Dec. 1, 2006, in Beijing,
overlooking the Forbidden City. The luxury hotel features a spa and
12,000 square feet of meeting space, including a 6,700-square-foot
ballroom. The hotel accommodates groups of up to 250, depending on
the season.
