Reed Travel
Exhibitions, based in Richmond, England, was expected to
announce the site and date of its first hosted buyer trade show in
North America for the meeting and incentive market late last month.
Though the final destination had not been revealed at press time,
Reed confirmed to M&C that the show will not be held
in Miami, as other media reported. Among Reed Travel Exhibitions’
other industry shows are EIBTM and GIBTM.
The Dolder Grand, a
Zurich, Switzerland, landmark, has reopened following a four-year,
$400 million restoration by London architects Foster and Partners.
The 173-room property now has eight meeting rooms, a ballroom, two
restaurants and a 40,000-square-foot spa.
The Fairmont St.
Andrews in Scotland has completed a $20 million
refurbishment. Among the upgrades to the property are the
renovation of all public spaces, the conference center and 115 of
the 209 guest rooms, along with an expansion of the spa. The
Torrance golf course, currently being renovated, is set to reopen
next spring.
